Interview with Weghuz - Hearthstone
Q: Hey there Weghuz, for those of us who don’t know you are, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
A: Hello, I'm a gamer at heart, I love competitive online games. Currently I'm studying computer science with programming being my main subject.
When I'm not studying I'm probably playing a competitive online game and my main interest right now is Hearthstone.
Q: Have you had any previous encounters with E-sports before you started playing Hearthstone?
A: I've been ranked top 200 in Heroes of the Storm. I've played in amateur teams in Dota 2 at around 4.5k rating and I have been ranked master several seasons in Starcraft 2. (while of course playing Protoss, FOR AIUR!)
During my Starcraft 2 craze I placed second, out of 256 players, in a weekly tournament which I see as one of my greatest feats before playing Hearthstone.
Q: Why did you start playing computer games in the first place?
A: I started playing computer games because I am fascinated by them. The thought and strategy that goes into playing computer games against other people amazes me.
It's such an amazing experience going up against other people playing and exchanging blows until the greater mind wins. (most of the time in Hearthstone ofcourse)
Q: What is your best Hearthstone memory?
A: My best Hearthstone memory must be when I got legend the second time, which was in December last year.
I always have close contact with my friends through Discord and whenever I went up a rank I went into the voice chat and yelled "RANK 3 Boys" or whatever rank I reached.
After 15 days of grinding I went into the voice chat yelling "LEGEND BOOOOOOOOOOYS" and what a relief it was! I've practiced a lot since then and am now a much more competent Hearthstone player than I was back then !
Q: If you could remove one card from the game, which one would it be and why?
A: If I could remove one card from Hearthstone it would have to be the Leper Gnome.
I like aggressive decks but showing no signs of wanting to take board control and just going for the face is just not my style.
Besides it hurts to see the little guy because I feel sorry for the opponents trying to play the face game. There is so much to gain by playing for the board.
Q: How do you feel about being a part of Seized E-Sports?
A: I'm excited! Seized e-sports seems like a great newly started organisation and the great guys behind it just make you feel at home.
I can only see greatness for the future.
Q: If you could choose one card from the Hearthstone game to bring with you to a deserted island, who would it be and why?
A: I would bring the Secretkeeper and I won't tell you why.
